Colbot Guide

Colbot uses AI to extract data from your files and web pages and append it as structured rows to a Google Sheet — with optional review and team collaboration. No formulas, no code, no manual copy-paste.

What is Colbot?

Colbot is an AI extraction tool that fits data into your spreadsheet. You connect a Google Sheet, drop in PDFs, images, Excel, or CSV files — or capture a web page with the browser extension — and Colbot reads your sheet's columns, extracts the matching fields, and adds new rows for you.

Unlike a plain OCR reader or file converter, Colbot reasons about the content: it can infer fields that aren't stated verbatim in the source, so the output fits the columns you actually need.

How does Colbot work?

Colbot follows the same three steps for every source:

1. Connect a Google Sheet. Colbot reads the header row and derives a reusable extraction schema from your columns. Name columns clearly — e.g. Invoice Number, Date, Total — so the AI gets the strongest signal about what to extract.
2. Add your input. Drag in files (PDF, image, Excel, CSV), or capture any web page with the Colbot Web Clipper. Multiple files are parsed in parallel; scans and photos are read with OCR.
3. Review and append. Colbot extracts structured rows that match your columns and appends them to your sheet — directly, or after a review step you control.

What can Colbot extract?
