Common questions about how Colbot handles your data — Google access, file privacy, storage, deletion, AI, and payments.
Can Colbot see my entire Google Drive?
No. Colbot requests only the drive.file scope — the most restrictive Google Drive permission. It can access only the Google Sheets and files you explicitly select, or files Colbot creates for you. It cannot see the rest of your Google Drive, your Gmail, or your Calendar.
How do I revoke Colbot's access to my Google account?
You can remove Colbot's access at any time from your Google Account. Open Google Account → Third-party apps & services, find Colbot in the list, and choose Remove access. After that, Colbot can no longer reach any of your sheets or files.
Who can see the files I upload?
No one. Uploaded files are completely private — they are used only to be parsed by the AI service. Colbot never creates a link to view or download them, not for anyone else and not even for you. Each file is stored under a random, unguessable path, is never publicly accessible, and is kept only until it is automatically deleted.
How long are my uploaded files kept?
Uploaded files are deleted automatically, within about 36 hours of upload, by an automated lifecycle policy on our file storage.
Where are my files stored, and are they encrypted?
Your files are stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS). They are encrypted both in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
Will Colbot use my data to train AI?
No. Colbot does not use your files or extracted data to train AI models, and does not use it for profiling, advertising, or any other secondary purpose — and it is never sold. Your content is sent to a third-party AI provider through a paid API, only to perform the extraction you request.
How do I delete my data or account?
Email support@colbot.ai to request deletion of your data or your account. Account deletion is currently handled manually, and we respond to deletion requests within 30 days.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe. Colbot never collects, stores, or has direct access to your full card details — they go straight to Stripe.
